Horizontal Scrolling
A horizontal scrolling website uses a side scroll instead of scrolling top to bottom. Some websites incorporate the horizontal scroll for products or pictures.
Comment: I do not think this will become a future standard because some types of websites would benefit more from the regular scrolling website. Also, if not done right, it could complicate the user experience for the visitor.

Parallax Scrolling
When using parallax scrolling, the background moves at a different rate as the foreground. It gives the illusion of a 3D effect.
Comment: I do not think this will become a future standard because not everyone wants or needs a one page website. A majority of businesses and organizations need a multi-page website due to their extensive content.

Dark mode enables the screen to be easier to read. It can also be used to highlight certain elements and colors on a web page.
Comment: I do not think this will become a future standard but I do think it will be an option on more websites and apps. Some websites and apps already have the option to use the regular mode or dark mode.

Minimalism
Minimalism is building a simple, clean website with little clutter. The website only includes the bare minimal in information. It makes the website easy to find information and faster to load. The site is easier to maintain and update because there is less information.
Comment: I do not think this will become a future standard because not all websites will benefit from having minimal information. Some websites will want or need to list in depth information about their product or service.

One-Page Websites
A one-page websites enables you to have all of your website content on one webpage. It is faster and easier to build than a multi-page website. The page includes menu links that can take you to the page section you need. This type of website would be good for a small business, personal website, or a website that does not have a lot of content.
Comment: I do not think this will become a future standard because not everyone wants or needs a one page website. A majority of businesses and organizations need a multi-page website due to their extensive content. It is important for a developer to learn to build a single-page website because there is a need. A one-page website is also good for mobile devices because all they have to do is scroll.
